Merino Wool Thermals

Sherpa’s pure merino wool provides outstanding natural comfort. Merino regulates the body’s temperature depending on the weather conditions or level of exercise. It is nature’s ultimate wicking system. Perspiration is evaporated eliminating the breeding ground for the bacteria that cause unpleasant odours.

Sherpa uses Superfine 18.5 micron wool fibre which makes the garments non-itch and odour free. The yarn is knitted into a mid weight 240 gsm fabric and the garments are designed to maximise their temperature management qualities. An interlock knit is used, offering optimal stretch and recovery throughout the garment. All the thermal’s seams are flat locked for comfort and style.

Merino wool will absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture before starting to feel damp. The moisture causes a chemical reaction in the fibres which releases heat, making the garment feel warm against the skin when wet.
